The beauty of a Sauna conversation
Turn something you already do into a relationship engine
Hey all!
A few years ago I read the book Never Eat Alone. It shifted how I think about relationships.
Instead of going to networking events and collecting business cards, what if you simply hosted people? What if you created environments where real conversations happen?
That’s why I rarely sauna alone.
I’m going to sauna anyway. I love the physical benefits. I love ending my day that way. So I asked myself, why not layer connection into something I’m already doing?
During most of my day, my intention is execution.
Getting work done.
Create content.
Move projects forward.
But during sauna sessions, my only intention is connection.
Deep conversations.
Introducing people to each other.
Helping others think bigger.
When you consistently create spaces where meaningful conversations happen, goodwill compounds. Your network grows. Everyone’s network grows. Relationships deepen.
Simple practice done repetitively beats occasionally doing something extraordinary.

What’s one thing you already do every day that you could invite others into?
A walk.
A lift.
A coffee.
A cold plunge.
A weekly dinner.
Pick an activity. Assign it a purpose. Make the intention connection.
For me, that place has been our Sisu sauna. I’ve had Sisu saunas for over four years now. The build quality is exceptional, the heater absolutely cranks, and ours gets used nightly for two to three hours.
Three rounds.
15 to 20 minutes at 194 degrees.
Followed by 2 to 3 minutes in the Ice Barrel at around 45 degrees.
The best way I’ve found to close the day.
This is the exact sauna we use:

If you’re considering either, my code EHINMAN works for both Sisu and Ice Barrel.
Also I built an AI application that connects people in my network who will benefit from knowing each other. Sign up here:
