Today's Quote

“Never, in the history of the world, has there been such abundant opportunity as there is now for the person who is willing to serve before trying to collect”.

--Napoleon Hill

There has never been as much opportunity as now exists in the world.

The internet has made business faster.

Email has made communication easier.

Shopify has democratized access to entrepreneurship.

Content has opened the door to social mobility.

And AI has created the ability to scale an enterprise.

Today's Lesson Learned

We live in the greatest age that has ever existed. Society is making breakthroughs in science, tech, health, and longevity.

We have access to more tools that make life “easier” than any past generation.

The definition of technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.

We live in a technological world that will only compound as innovations continue.

Technology increases accessibility and democratizes the game of entrepreneurship.

When we look to the future of this game, 3 universal laws become increasingly clear:

1. As more people begin playing the level of competition increases.

• As the number of total players grows, the game will evolve.
• What worked yesterday will no longer work today.
• You have to add new elements to your game to remain relevant.

2. As the level of competition rises more people get stuck in the middle.

• More players does not mean more winners.
• Most people will not be willing to do the work to differentiate.
• As more people converge to the norm, how you stand out becomes exponentially more important.

3. The people who break into the top 1% will be disproportionately rewarded.

• For the past 30 years, Nike won. They experienced disproportionate returns as a result.
•  The entire business was built around the principle that “perfect results count, not a perfect process”.
• In the next 30 years, those at the forefront of their fields will experience more of the same.

In the history of the world, there has never been more opportunity than now exists.

In the history of the world, there has never been more competition than now exists.

The key is to stop fighting the game, to play it at an exceptional level, and find a way to stand out.

Your story is one of a kind; find a way to share it with the world.

Today's Optimization

As we age our cells age, but I believe we get to choose what 40-year-old, 50-year-old, and 60-year-old we want to be. I envision mountain biking into my 60's and surfing in my 70's. But here’s a fact, after 30, muscle mass decreases by approximately 3–8% per decade. I’m pretty fascinated with cellular health at the moment and recently I learned the primary cause for this decline is based on mitochondrial function, the “powerhouse” of our cells.

I started researching ways to limit this decline and have come to believe mitochondria are the bedrock of good health. Healthy cells rely on healthy mitochondria. Their optimal function leads to incredible health benefits and is particularly essential to heart, kidney, eye, brain, skin, and muscle function. As we age, mitochondrial function declines. Our mitochondria are constantly renewed to produce energy and fulfill the vast energy demands of muscle, skin, and other tissues, but as we get older, mitochondrial renewal declines and dysfunctional mitochondria accumulate in the cells, resulting in significant issues.

I recently started taking Timeline’s Mitopure (a clinically studied/proven supplement), which unlocks the power of Urolithin A, a molecule that stimulates this crucial recycling and cleansing process in our mitochondria - ultimately protecting cells from age-associated decline. Today Timeline is offering Movement Memo subscribers an exclusive deal: 10% off your first order using code “Hinman” at checkout.
